Atlas Privacy Policy
Atlas is a simple workout logging app. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
Atlas is built and operated by Nujo, a small software studio based in the Netherlands. Contact us at privacy@nujo.eu.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Nujo, the studio that builds and operates Atlas. Access to Atlas systems is limited to people who need it to build, operate, support, or secure the app.

- We do not use your workout data for ads.

- You can delete local data from your device.
- You can delete your Atlas account and cloud data in the app.
- Atlas is a fitness log, not a medical service.
Data We Collect
Account data
When you use Atlas, we may process:
- Your Supabase user ID.
- Your email address, if you sign in with email, Apple, or Google and one is provided.
- Your sign-in method, such as guest, email, Apple, or Google.
- Whether your account is a guest account.
- Account creation and update times.
- Authentication session data needed to keep you signed in.
If you use email/password sign-in, Supabase handles your password. Atlas does not store your plaintext password.
Workout data
Atlas stores the fitness data you enter or create, including:
- Workout names.
- Exercise names.
- Body part or muscle group labels.
- Exercise order inside workouts.
- Target sets.
- Session start and completion times.
- Logged sets.
- Weight values.
- Rep counts.
- Exercise history and progress views.
- Unit preference, such as kg or lbs.
- Sync and update timestamps.
Workout data can say something about your fitness routine and habits, so we treat it as personal data.
Local device data
Atlas keeps a local database on your device so the app works quickly and can keep your history available. This local copy can include your profile, workouts, exercises, sessions, sets, and sync status.
Your phone’s security settings, backups, and operating system may affect how this local data is protected or retained.
Exported data
If you export your data, Atlas creates a JSON file and opens your device’s share/save sheet. Atlas tries to delete the temporary export file after the share/save flow finishes.
Any copy you save, send, or upload is controlled by you and by the app or service you choose.
Technical data
When Atlas connects to Supabase, we and Supabase may process technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as:
- IP address.
- App and device information.
- Request times.
- Auth, sync, and database request metadata.
- Operational logs and error details.
Data We Do Not Collect
Based on the current app, Atlas does not intentionally collect:
- Contacts.
- Photos or videos.
- Camera or microphone data.
- Precise location.
- HealthKit data.
- Payment card data.
- Government IDs.
- Advertising identifiers.
Please do not put medical records, injuries, diagnoses, financial information, government IDs, or other highly sensitive information into Atlas.
How We Use Data
We use data to:
- Create and manage accounts.
- Sign you in and keep you signed in.
- Save and show your workouts.
- Sync your data between your device and Supabase.
- Restore data for returning users.
- Let you export your data.
- Let you delete local data.
- Let you delete your account and cloud data.
- Provide support.
- Keep Atlas reliable and secure.
- Prevent abuse.
- Comply with law.
We do not use your workout data for targeted advertising.
Sharing
We share data only when needed to run Atlas, when you ask us to, or when required by law.
Atlas team access
Authorized people working on Atlas may access account, workout, technical, or support data when needed to operate, support, debug, improve, or secure the app. We keep this access limited to people who need it.
Supabase
Atlas uses Supabase for:
- Authentication.
- Cloud database hosting.
- Sync.
- Account deletion infrastructure.
- Operational security and logs.
Supabase may process your account data, workout data, technical data, and service logs so it can provide those services to Atlas.
Atlas currently uses the Supabase region eu-west-1.
Apple and Google
If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider processes your sign-in under its own terms and privacy policy. Atlas receives only the information needed to authenticate you and run your account.
Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose data if needed to comply with law, respond to legal requests, protect rights and safety, prevent abuse, or enforce our Terms of Use.
Your direction
If you export or share data, you choose where it goes.
Selling or Advertising
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your personal data for targeted advertising.
We do not use your workout data for ads.
Retention
We keep data only as long as reasonably needed to run Atlas, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
- Account and workout data are kept while your Atlas account exists.
- Local data stays on your device until you sign out, delete local data, delete the app, delete your account, or your operating system removes it.
- “Delete Local Data” removes the local copy from that device. It does not necessarily delete cloud data.
- “Delete Account & Cloud Data” attempts to delete your Atlas account and cloud data from Supabase, then remove the local copy from that device. This requires internet access.
- Temporary export files are deleted after the export flow where possible.
- Backups, logs, and legally required records may remain for a limited time.
Guest accounts are convenient but fragile. If you lose your device, delete the app, clear local data, or lose the guest session, you may lose access unless you linked the account to email, Apple, or Google.
Your Choices
You can:
- Export your Atlas data from settings.
- Edit or replace workout data in the app where supported.
- Delete local data from your device.
- Delete your Atlas account and cloud data.
- Link a guest account to email, Apple, or Google.
- Contact us at privacy@nujo.eu for privacy questions or requests.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request.
Children
Atlas is not for children under 16. If your country requires a higher age to use online services without parental consent, that higher age applies.
If we learn that we collected a child’s data in violation of law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Health and Medical Notice
Atlas is a consumer workout log. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, health plan, medical record system, or emergency service.
Atlas does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or injury prevention guidance.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect data, including Supabase authentication, access controls, HTTPS/TLS, local device storage, and account deletion tooling.
No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, email, app store account, and Atlas login secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are important, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page or giving in-app notice.
