Atlas Terms of Use
These Terms explain the rules for using Atlas. Atlas is built and operated by Nujo, a small software studio based in the Netherlands. Contact us at legal@nujo.eu.
In these Terms, “we” and “us” mean Nujo.
By using Atlas, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Atlas.
Short Version
- Atlas is a workout logging app built and operated by Nujo.
- Atlas is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, coach, trainer, or emergency service.
- You are responsible for your workouts, exercise choices, and account security.
- You own the workout data you put into Atlas.
- We may process your data only as needed to run Atlas, sync your data, support you, secure the service, and comply with law.
- You can export your data, delete local data, and delete your account and cloud data.
- Do not misuse the app, access someone else’s data, attack the service, or store sensitive information Atlas is not designed to handle.
- Atlas is provided as is, within the limits allowed by law.
What Atlas Does
Atlas helps you:
- Create workout plans.
- Organize exercises.
- Log sets, weights, reps, and sessions.
- View exercise history and progress.
- Set preferences, such as kg or lbs.
- Sync data to your account.
- Export your data.
- Delete local data.
- Delete your account and cloud data.
Atlas may include coach or athlete sharing features if those features are available in your version of the app.
Not Medical Advice
Atlas is a fitness log, not a medical service.
Atlas does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation guidance, emergency help, or personalized professional coaching.
Exercise can cause injury. You are responsible for deciding whether a workout, exercise, weight, rep count, or training plan is safe and appropriate for you.
Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms.
Speak with a qualified professional before starting or changing a training program, especially if you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy, disability, or health concern.
Who Can Use Atlas
You must be at least 16 to use Atlas, or older if your country requires a higher age for online services without parental consent.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Atlas only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Accounts
Atlas may let you use a guest account or sign in with email, Apple, or Google.
You are responsible for keeping your device, email, Apple account, Google account, app store account, and Atlas account secure.
Guest accounts are convenient but fragile. You may lose access if you lose your device, delete the app, clear local data, or lose the guest session. Link your guest account if you want better long-term access.
Your Data
You own the workout data you create in Atlas.
You give us permission to host, store, copy, process, sync, display, export, delete, and back up your data only as needed to:
- Run Atlas.
- Provide account, sync, export, and deletion features.
- Provide support.
- Keep Atlas secure and reliable.
- Comply with law.
- Enforce these Terms.
We do not claim ownership of your workout data. We do not sell your workout data or use it for targeted ads.
Coach and Sharing Features
If Atlas lets you share data with a coach, athlete, or other user:
- You are responsible for choosing who can see your data.
- Do not share data unless you want that person to see it.
- Atlas does not verify coach qualifications.
- A coach’s advice is not our advice unless we clearly say otherwise in writing.
- Coaches are responsible for their own services, advice, permissions, and legal obligations.
Data Export and Deletion
Atlas stores a local copy of your data on your device and may sync a cloud copy through Supabase.
You are responsible for keeping any backups you need. We do not guarantee that deleted, corrupted, unsynced, overwritten, or lost data can be recovered.
- Export creates a JSON file that you can save or share.
- Delete Local Data removes the local copy from the device. It does not necessarily delete cloud data.
- Delete Account & Cloud Data attempts to delete your Atlas account and cloud data, then remove the local copy from the device. This requires internet access.
Deleted data may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, or records we must keep for legal, security, or dispute reasons.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. It is part of these Terms.
Read it here: Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
Atlas uses third-party services and platforms, including Supabase, Apple, Google, and app stores.
Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
App Store Terms
If you download Atlas from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple.
Apple is not responsible for Atlas, support, warranties, claims, or legal issues related to Atlas, except where Apple rules or law say otherwise.
Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.
Other app store terms may also apply if you download Atlas somewhere else.
Payments
If Atlas is free, no fees apply.
If we add paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, we will show the price and key terms before you buy. App store purchases are handled by the app store and follow that store’s payment, cancellation, and refund rules.
Rules
Do not:
- Use Atlas illegally or harmfully.
- Access another person’s account or data without permission.
- Upload malicious code.
- Attack, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service.
- Try to bypass security.
- Misrepresent who you are.
- Reverse engineer Atlas except where law allows it.
- Use Atlas as a medical, emergency, or regulated healthcare service.
- Store information Atlas is not designed for, such as medical records, diagnoses, government IDs, payment card numbers, or highly sensitive personal information.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you broke these rules or created risk for Atlas, users, or others.
Changes to Atlas
We may change, pause, or stop any part of Atlas. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available.
Intellectual Property
Atlas, including the app, design, branding, text, graphics, software, and related materials, belongs to us or our licensors.
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Atlas for your own lawful purposes.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or make derivative works from Atlas unless we give written permission or law allows it.
Feedback
If you send ideas, bug reports, or suggestions, we may use them without paying you. This helps us improve Atlas.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Atlas is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee that Atlas will be uninterrupted, error-free, always secure, always accurate, or that data will always sync or be recoverable.
Some laws do not allow certain warranty limits. In that case, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
We are also not liable for:
- Lost, corrupted, deleted, delayed, unavailable, or unsynced data.
- Workout decisions, training outcomes, health outcomes, or injuries.
- Unauthorized access caused by failure to secure your device, email, account, or sign-in provider.
- Third-party services, app stores, sign-in providers, or hosting providers.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for all claims related to Atlas is limited to the greater of:
- The amount you paid us for Atlas in the 12 months before the claim; or
- EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending Use
You may stop using Atlas at any time. You may also delete local data or delete your account and cloud data in the app where available.
We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, create risk, or if we stop offering Atlas.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Disputes will be handled by the courts of the Netherlands, unless consumer law gives you a different mandatory right.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are important, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page or giving in-app notice.
If you keep using Atlas after the Terms change, you accept the updated Terms.
